Coach Tom Kennedy’s Greene County High School softball team finishes the regular season at Nevada tonight. The Cubs won 6-1 last month in Jefferson in the first meeting of the two this season. Nevada is having one of it’s best seasons in some time with 10 wins and seven losses. Greene County is 3-10 overall and in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference.

There’s quite a discrepancy between the Rams and Cubs in extra base hits. The Rams have just three, all doubles, and all three took place in the past two contests. The Cubs have 30 extra base hits, including four homers.

After tonight’s game in Nevada, it’s into the postseason in Class 3A at Carroll vs. Kuemper Catholic. Wednesday’s game can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. The Knights also have more losses that wins this season. The winner goes to Humboldt on Friday night  vs. either number two ranked Humboldt or Southeast Valley (Gowrie).
