In spite of the recent heat, the remodel project for the Raccoon Valley Radio studio in Perry continues to progress.
Contractors have begun to dig in and knock down interior walls in order to create a completely new workspace, which General Manager John McGee says will create a better flow through the building while also making it more attractive. He adds that the project, which is expected to be finished this fall, exhibits the level of investment the station’s ownership has devoted to the City of Perry as a whole. “First and foremost, I think it shows our commitment to the community. You know, Mel and Holly Suhr and the Suhr family have made a substantial investment in this project. In the community as a whole, I think it really gives us something to be proud of, something to brag about, and to show off as part of the Perry community. It gives our clients a visible place to come into and take advantage of our services and help put together marketing strategies and things that way.”
McGee also believes that having a better facility will attract high quality employees in the future, who will then get involved in the community and everyone will be better for it.
