The ADM Tigers had an opportunity on Friday night to win conference outright with a win, but unfortunately couldn’t overcome upset minded Carlisle losing by the score of 5-2. Carlisle was able to score little-by-little throughout the night, scoring in four of the six frames to build up their lead to 5-0, before ADM would get their only two runs of the night in the 7th inning.
ADM did not lack opportunities, having chances to score in multiple innings on the night, but unfortunately couldn’t push any runs across through the first six innings. The Tigers tallied nine hits on the night and got a pair of RBIs scored through junior Tate Stine-Smith. Senior Chase Anderson was the losing pitcher, throwing five innings, giving up three hits, three earned runs, five walks, and seven strikeouts.
The loss is the third straight for the Tigers, as they will still finish at the top of the Raccoon River Conference. The Tigers will conclude their regular season schedule on Monday when they take on Creston in Adel. First pitch will be at 7:30.
