Tuesday, July 7th
11:28am: A deputy investigated single vehicle rollover accident in the 1100 block of L Avenue. Yordan Diaz Rodriguez 41 of Storm Lake lost control of his 2004 Honda Accord in the ditch on its top. The driver had gotten a ride to the Greene County Medical Center ER from a friend. The vehicle was totaled in the accident. The accident is still under investigation with possible charges.
11:53pm: A deputy assisted with a civil issue in the 900 block of 230th Street.
1:48pm: Frank Farel 41 of Grand Junction was booked into the jail to serve a sentence.
6:17pm: A deputy assisted a motorist on Elm Street and Madison Street in Jefferson.
9:16pm: A deputy investigated a careless driving complaint on 220th Street near E Avenue.
10:35pm: A deputy investigated a single vehicle accident on U Avenue near 130th Street. Michael Reutzel 50 of Somers lost control of his 2000 Pontiac Grand Am and rolled onto its side after hitting a raccoon. The vehicle was a total loss. There was nobody injured in the accident.
10:56pm: A deputy investigated a suspicious person in the 500 block of North 15th Street, Grand Junction.
Wednesday, July 8th
6:37am: A deputy investigated a suspicious person on 220th Street near T Avenue.
9:47am: Deputies and the Jefferson Police Department conducted a search warrant at 209 East Russell Street in Jefferson. Ammunition, drug paraphernalia, and controlled substances were located. Justin Cosnotti was arrested for possession or control of firearms or ammunition while there is a protective order in effect, possession of a controlled substance 3rd or subsequent offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
11:15am: Justin Cosnotti 35 of Jefferson was booked into the jail for possession or control of firearms or ammunition while there is a protective order in effect, possession of a controlled substance 3rd or subsequent offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
1:25pm: A deputy investigated an animal neglect complaint in the 800 block of Sand Street, Churdan.
5:25pm: A deputy located a concrete blowup in the roadway on R Avenue and near 120th Street.
8:28pm: A deputy assisted a Jefferson Police Officer in the 400 block of North Pinet Street, Jefferson.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
