adm-7

On Wednesday night the ADM Tigers got involved in a pitchers dual in Adel, and the softball team was able to come out on the right side winning by the score of 1-0 over state ranked Odgen. Senior Abbie Hlas was absolutely terrific, throwing a complete game in 74 pitches, giving up only three hits and striking out five as well. All night long Hlas was able to take advantage of an aggressive Ogden team, getting ahead in the count regularly and executing pitches to near perfection.

Senior Denali Loecker was able to pitch a terrific game for the Bulldogs despite the loss, giving up the run with seven hits and eight strikeouts as well.

ADM would score in the bottom of the 5th with an Olivia Tollari single, bringing in the lone run. Senior Emily Kay got a hit to lead off the inning and eventually would score the key run.

It was one of the quickest games played in the season for the Tigers, with the length of the game finishing around 1 hour and 15 minutes.

For ADM, they have another game tonight against state ranked Fort Dodge, who will come in with the number 1 state ranking in class 5A softball. First pitch in Adel will be 7:30.
