Tomorrow is Independence Day, but as a reminder many municipalities around Dallas County are closed today in observance of the holiday.

In Perry, all City offices and the water works office are closed today and there is no garbage pick up. Similarly, all Adel City offices are closed, though the garbage routes were unaffected. All Dallas County offices, including each of the functions at the courthouse, the Conservation office, and ISU Extension are also closed today to observe the holiday. Finally, all post offices around the County are closed today, though most banking institutions are open unless otherwise specified.

The public is also reminded that everything mentioned is also closed tomorrow for the holiday itself, and will reopen on Monday, July 6th.
