Work is underway on the remodel of the Raccoon Valley Radio studio in Perry, which you may have already noticed as you drive past on Highway 141.

Though the facility is closed to the public while under construction, General Manager John McGee emphasizes that the station’s normal operations remain unchanged. “You know, it is business as usual for us. We do have operations going on at all three of our locations during this remodeling. We will be a little more limited in what we do here in the Perry studio area while we’re under the remodel and staying out of the contractors’ hair that way. Please use the phone (or) email. Just call (and) if somebody doesn’t answer right away, we have a phone system where you can leave messages for the news department, for the sports, for on-air, (or) for myself. We do get that emailed to us instantly as soon as you hang up, and we’ll get back to you right away.”

McGee expects the work to take 4-5 months, but promises the wait will be well worth it when the new facility is unveiled. To learn more about the project, click the link below to listen to the Perry Fareway Let’s Talk Dallas County program with McGee.
