Twenty new COVID-19 cases were added in Dallas County Thursday.
The state dashboard shows the county has 1,214 total positive cases, with 996 recovered and 29 deaths. No new cases were added for the rest of the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area, as Greene County has 28 positive cases with 20 recovered, Guthrie County has 64 cases with 58 recovered and four deaths, and Adair County has 15 positive cases with 11 recovered.
Statewide, Iowa added 649 cases for a total of 30,059 individuals that have tested positive. The number of those recovered increased by 315 to 23,868 total, and no additional deaths were reported leaving the total at 717.
According to the Regional Medical Coordination Centers Hospital Data, Region 1 – which covers Adair, Dallas, Greene, and Guthrie counties – currently has 51 COVID-19 hospitalized patients, same as Wednesday; nine patients are in Intensive Care Units, compared to eight Wednesday; and six COVID-19 patients have been admitted to a hospital in the last 24 hours, compared to eight the day before.
