The good times continued to roll for ADM baseball on Wednesday night defeating the Toreadors of Boone by the score of 4-2 in the first win of the series for the team since 2014. The win is the fifth straight for the club, as they now stand at a 5-1 record.
ADM got a great starting pitching performance from senior Zach Fuller, who picked up his second win of the season going six innings, giving up 2 runs but zero earned, only one hit and five strikeouts as well. Junior Tate Stine-Smith was able to come in and wrap things up for the Tigers in the save effort.
The bats came alive quickly in the 1st for ADM, as Stine-Smith got an RBI single to bring in Chase Anderson, then ADM was able to score another on an error by Boone. They got another rally going in the 5th when senior Kaden Sutton ripped a double down the line to score a run, and that was followed up a Jaxson Millsap single to score a run.
The big play of the game came in the sixth, after a couple of ADM errors and no outs, the Tigers were able to force a 1-2-3 double play, and eventually got out of the inning only conceding one run.
ADM will get back on the diamond tonight in Adel as they take on Woodward-Granger. First pitch will be at 7:30.
