Monday, June 8th
9:41am: An officer checked houses in the 500 Block of South Olive Street attempting to locate the owner of a vehicle parked in the area. The vehicle has three flat tires and has sat in the street for several days. The vehicle will be towed if the owner cannot be reached.
1:48pm: An officer assisted a motorist experiencing mechanical issues at 220 th and Mulberry Streets.
2:30pm: An officer located a small dog running freely near Elm and Madison Streets. The officer was unable to catch the animal, but chased it back home and placed it in a fenced area, as no one was home.
2:34pm: A caller advised of a dog that has its cable wrapped around a post at Monroe and Oak Streets. The officer spoke to the owner of the animal and it was taken inside.
3:58pm: Josh Hinote requested Extra Patrol in the area of the 400 Block of North Chestnut Street. Hinote advised of speeding traffic in the area.
5:09pm: Thomas Oyres requested a Welfare Check on a possible suicidal female in the 1200 Block of Westwood Drive. The officer spoke to the female and determined she did not need assistance.
6:05pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 100 Block of North Locust Street.
8:32pm: A caller reported an argument taking place between two males near Cedar and Washington Streets. The officer located the two subjects arguing over a bike. He advised them to quiet down and separate for a while and allow things to cool down between them.
10:42pm: Jamie Venteicher reported several subjects screaming at each other in the 300 Block of West Reed Street. The officer arrived and learned a male had chased two juveniles away from his residence after they yelled profanities at his daughter. The officer advised him to go home and quiet down and that police will take care of the issue. The officer learned two juveniles had been picked up from HyVee by a parent after advising the store employees a male had chased them. They were not identified.
