12:01am: Jennie Schuttler reported her 12-year-old juvenile daughter had left home at 1600 hours and had not returned yet. The officer entered the child as a Missing Juvenile in NCIC and began checking with friends to locate her. The child returned home at about 0815 hours.

8:09am: An officer removed a bat from the residence at 507 North Maple Street.

10:42am: An officer spoke to a resident in the 400 Block of North Chestnut Street after a report from Public Works about drain oil being dumped in an alley. The alley was recently seal coated. City Ordinance prohibits dumping harmful substances in alleys.

10:50am: A caller reported concerns about speeding truck traffic on North Maple Streets around 1700 hours. He was concerned about children in the area and vehicles at the intersection of Head and Maple Streets. The truck traffic is a local contractor working on utilities in and near Jefferson. They are utilizing the empty lot at Maple and McKinley Streets for parking trucks and equipment. The officer located the job foreman and spoke to him about the concerns of area residents. The foreman advised this will not be an issue in the future after he speaks with his crew.

1:00pm: Billie Jo Hovick spoke to an officer about a Civil Property Process occurring at 102 East Washington Street.

1:51pm: Casey’s reported an abandoned car at 508 North Elm Street. The owner was contacted, and arrangements were made to remove the vehicle from the private lot.

3:47pm: Garrett Tasler spoke with an officer about a Civil Issue he was involved with. He was advised to seek advice from an attorney.

5:13pm: A caller advised of two dogs running loose in the 1000 Block of West Lincoln Way Street. The officer caught one of the dogs and placed it in the Animal Holding Facility.

5:47pm: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 300 American Ave. He located an employee working, who had accidentally tripped the alarm.

7:11pm: An officer assisted a subject in the 300 Block of North Chestnut Street who had placed a casserole in her oven and accidentally set the oven on “Clean.” The oven door locked and began to get extremely hot. The officer unplugged the oven to cool down and the door unlock to go off.

7:24pm: Kristina Greene requested an officer at 708 West Harrison Street to remove an unwanted female. The officer spoke with all involved and the female left on her own.

10:14pm: Doug Hawn reported a bicycle has been by the entrance to the Fair Grounds for several days now. The officer placed the bike in Impound.

10:43pm: Shawn Ellsbury reported he was walking his dog and his neighbors’ dog was not on a leash as he walked by. The officer learned the owner has installed an Invisible Fencing System and the animal never left his property. The officer explained this to Ellsbury.
