One of the keys to the Adel-Desoto-Minburn baseball offense last year was the work of their leadoff hitter in Chase Anderson. Anderson had a big year at the leadoff spot leading the Tigers in hits with 37, runs with 26, and tied for the lead with 11 walks as well.
His on base percentage was at a solid .425 clip, and was able to set a tone for an offense that was able to average more than five runs again on the season.
With a shortened season, teams across the state of Iowa can’t afford to have a slow start to their offense, and the lead off hitter will be key for teams success. Chase Anderson will be hoping to be the spark at the top of the offense that the Tigers need to capitalize on run scoring opportunities.
