While outdoor playgrounds are allowed to reopen in Iowa today, Guthrie County residents should be mindful of local restrictions being placed on parks.
Guthrie Center parks and playgrounds are still closed, as they cannot be sanitized to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s COVID-19 guidelines. The aquatic center also remains closed at this time, and will be discussed by the City Council at their June 8th meeting.
The cities of Panora and Stuart are reopening their parks and playgrounds today. The Stuart Aquatic Center remains closed but will be discussed by the City Council at their meeting next Monday. While gatherings of 10 or more people are now permitted, public health measures including limiting attendance to 50% of the venue capacity and maintaining six feet of distance between people are required.
