Kids and their families lined the streets in Scranton, Jefferson, Grand Junction and Rippey to see their favorite Greene County Elementary teachers during Friday evening’s “Teacher Tour” event.

Guidance Counselor Teresa Skalla said they originally planned this event to happen last month, but rescheduled it because of the heightened COVID-19 restrictions. She believes having this event on the last day of school worked out better as a way for kids and their parents to get closure to see teachers as a way to wrap up the school year.

Skalla adds it’s been a transition for lots of teachers to not see their kids in the classroom on a daily basis due to COVID-19. But the “Teacher Tour” certainly provided some relief for teachers as well. Check out the Raccoon Valley Radio Facebook page for more pictures from the event.
