For the first time since mid-March, student athletes from AC/GC and Panorama will report to practice today.
High school baseball and softball teams are allowed to begin practicing today. Over the last few weeks the State of Iowa and IHSAA and IGHSAU have been working on a plan to have practice and eventually games while keeping as safe as possible. While practice is allowed to begin, it will look a bit different than it has in years past. Some of the rules that schools have to follow include keeping players bags along the fence line, six feet apart, limiting shared equipment, and sanitizing items that are shared often and thoroughly, and prohibiting sunflower seeds. Panorama Head Softball Coach Ryan Nail tells Raccoon Valley Radio that there’s been a lot of work over the last couple of weeks to get prepared for today.
