After graduating from Dallas Center-Grimes High School three years ago, Grimes native, Trey Washington took his gridiron talents to Maryville, Missouri. Washington, who will be ready for his Junior season of eligibility at Northwest Missouri State University, but his Senior season of classes has to be optimistic about his chances of playing football this fall following the progress and loosened restrictions on the Covid-19 outbreak over the past two weeks.
Washington graduated in 2017 from DC-G, but was a Redshirt his first year at NW Missouri.
In his Sophomore season as a Bearcat, Washington recorded 31 tackles, and 6 interceptions. The 6’1″, 175 pound DB even recorded a sack in the season opener last fall at Missouri Western in St. Joseph.
Washington and Northwest Missouri will open their 2020 season on September 3 at Fort Hays State in Hays, Kansas.
