A Panora man has been sentenced to prison for a sexual abuse offense committed last January.
Court documents show that through a plea agreement, 38-year-old Tisen Joshua is guilty of an amended charge of third degree sexual abuse, a class C felony. At a hearing held by video conference, Joshua is sentenced to serve up to 10 years in prison at the Iowa Medical and Classification Center. He must abide by a five year no contact order issued by the victim, and register as a sex offender. Joshua must also pay over $2,000 for a fine, restitution, civil penalty, sexual abuse victim surcharge, and other surcharges. He was found to have no reasonable ability to pay for Category II expenses due to his incarceration.
Joshua was originally charged with second degree sexual abuse committed upon a minor under the age of 12, a class B felony, for the offense that occurred on January 25th.
