Three public hearing dates were approved at the Stuart City Council meeting Monday.

The Council approved setting June 8th as the date for a hearing on rezoning the All Saints Addition from agricultural to residential single family zoning. They also approved setting the date for a hearing on a proposal to enter into a general obligation cash flow loan agreement not to exceed $400,000, and for a hearing to amend the revitalization plan for the 2018 Stuart Urban Revitalization Area.

The Council also approved the sixth pay estimate to Concrete Technologies, Incorporated in the amount of about $161,365 for work on the All Saints Addition. City Engineer Forrest Aldrich told the Council they are around 40 percent completed, and shall continue work through the summer. They also approved amending the current fiscal year budget, a development agreement with Casey’s Marketing Company for their gas station expansion, and loan forgiveness on $10,000 the City provided to Hoosier-Hawk Real Estate Company, LLC. for rehabilitation at 403 North Fremont Street. They also listed the home for sale at an affordable price for low-to-moderate income residents as required through the City’s Blight Housing Program.
