A Stuart woman was arrested for an alleged drunk driving incident Saturday.

According to the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, at about 2:05 p.m. dispatch received a call about a red Pontiac Grand Prix that was parked on a bridge in the 2300 block of Walnut Trail. The caller observed 50-year-old Marcia Michelle Link slumped over her steering wheel, and the caller honked their horn but didn’t get a response from her. The deputy arrived on scene at about 2:24 p.m. and blocked Link’s vehicle from leaving the bridge. Upon making contact with Link, she appeared highly intoxicated and had slurred speech. Stuart Rescue responded to check Link out for medical issues, which she denied. She admitted to drinking a pint of vodka, and about a quarter-full bottle of vodka was found in the vehicle.

Link was arrested and transported to Guthrie County Jail where she had a .263 blood alcohol content level tested at about 3:39 p.m. Link is charged with operating while under the influence, third or subsequent offense, a class D felony.
