The Greene County Chamber is now accepting nominations for its annual Above and Beyond the Call Award for 2013.

Chris Henning with the chamber and last year’s ABC winner, says the award will be given at their annual banquet on January 27th.

The ABC award recognizes an individual or a group of people who demonstrate personal involvement, leadership qualities and unselfishly giving their time and talent that makes a positive impact and benefits a community.

A list of characteristics are as follows:

1. Involvement in a broad spectrum of activities for community betterment.

2. Activities should not be essentially an extension of the nominee’s business interests.

3. The nominee(s) should have exhibited leadership qualities.

4. The nominee(s) should have exhibited capabilities by initiating and carrying good will in promoting worthy projects.

5. The nominee(s) should possess characteristics of a nature to produce harmony and through on community projects.

Henning adds that the deadline for nominations is by Friday, December 20th.
