A business in Jefferson teamed up with the Jefferson Area Chamber of Commerce to give back to other local area businesses during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Jefferson Fareway and the Chamber are distributing $2,000 in gift cards to some of its Chamber member businesses and their employees. Chamber Board member Rosie Tucker explains how the Board decided what businesses will get the gift cards.

“The Chamber Board took a good look at our Greene County businesses, how and at what level they have been affected, and were able to commit a $50 gift card to 40 of our own right here in Greene County.”   

Fareway Stores Incorporated recently donated $200,000 to the Iowa Chamber of Commerce Executives. These funds were then given to Fareway stores to ICCE members in the communities they serve. Tucker adds, the Chamber is grateful to receive the donation, and thanked Fareway on behalf of member businesses.
