Tuesday, April 28th

12:15am: Tony Ratliff reported his juvenile daughter had received inappropriate messages on Face Book from an adult male. The officer learned the crime had occurred in Des Moines, where the daughter lives. The officer sent them to DSM PD with the complaint.

2:04am: The GCMC ER requested an officer for a female patient refusing to leave after being discharged. The officer provided the subject a ride to her residence to end the issue.

6:34am: Tiffany Johnson reported crows attacking a baby owl in the 1000 Block of West Washington Street. The officer did not locate the birds.

8:52am: Ashley Ratliff spoke to an officer regarding a Civil Child Custody Issue occurring in Jefferson.

11:29am: An officer checked 406 North West Street after dispatch received a 911 Pocket Dial. All was fine at the residence.

12:04pm: An officer checked on a US Postal Service Worker after dispatch received a 911 Pocket Dial. The subject was fine and needed no assistance.

2:31pm: David McQuillen reported debris in the roadway on the overpass. The officer removed the items from the roadway.

3:37pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 900 Block of West South Street.

4:07pm: An officer stood by at 104 East Clark Street during a Civil Landlord/Tennent Issue.

4:44pm: Jefferson Officers were assisted by the GCSO, the GC Ambulance, and Jefferson Fire with a three-vehicle accident on 220 th Street, just east of Grimmell Road. One driver was transported with possible injuries from the scene. A 2006 Chevrolet Impala, owned and operated by Kim Jubell of Scranton, a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee, owned and operated by Tuffy Newman of Pierson, and a 2003 Chevrolet K1500, owned and operated by Felisha Lindquist of Fort Dodge were all involved in the accident. All three units were reported as a total loss. The officer is interviewing witnesses and drivers at this time trying to piece together what occurred. Charges are pending the findings in the investigation.

5:28pm: Casey’s reported a male subject was back in their business at 508 North Elm Street, after being trespassed in the past. The subject left on his own before the officer’s arrival.

7:50pm: Jennifer Ashby requested officers at 108 East Central Ave. #66 for an argument occurring with herself and her husband. The officers found nothing illegal had occurred and worked to diffuse the issue by one subject leaving for the remainder of the evening.

11:50pm: Julena Keddie requested a Welfare Check on a female friend at 701 North Cedar #29. She reported her friend was arguing with her husband and was not able to call 911. Officers made contact with the couple and learned a verbal argument was occurring. The male left the trailer for the evening to cool down.
