Additional recipients from Adair and Guthrie counties of the Iowa Small Business Relief Grant program have recently been announced.

The program was created by the Iowa Economic Development Authority to provide assistance to businesses who were economically impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Recipients recently announced were Shorts Place with $17,000, Fountain Florist Incorporated with $14,880, Revel Salon & Boutique with $13,000, Blue Skyz Incorporated with $25,000, Fox Welding Company with $25,000, Garside Auto Body Incorporated with $15,000, The Port with $5,000, and Adair Argo Sales with $25,000.

Grants of $5,000 to $25,000 were available to businesses in addition to offering a deferral of sales and use or withholding taxes due and waiver of penalty and interest. The application window for the grants is closed but businesses can still apply for the tax deferral through this Thursday.
