The annual Raccoon Valley Radio RadioActive Bingo promotion has officially come to an end, with grand prize winner Larry Wesely of Perry announced Friday morning.

The station gave away thousands of dollars throughout the promotion, which was held over the last couple months. Listeners picked up Bingo cards that included participating sponsors instead of numbers, and crossed off spots as they heard the related advertisements on air. We then gave out weekly smaller prizes for those who turned in completed cards, and it all culminated Friday with the reveal of Wesely as the recipient of the $500 grand prize. Wesely told Raccoon Valley Radio how he intends to use the money. “That’s a pretty good chunk of change, yep! When I’m able to get out and go spend it, I’ll spend it locally.”

RadioActive Bingo is one of several promotions held throughout the year by Raccoon Valley Radio, where the public has a chance to win prizes while also learning more about the sponsoring businesses. Others include the Business and Broadcasting Scholarship program, and the Caring Christmas Cash Call.
