Thursday, April 23rd
3:17am: Brenda Batschelet reported a neighbor yelling for help at 1000 West Adams Street. The officer checked on the neighbor, who was fine.
7:29am: Becky Wolf reported an Erratic Driver on 220th Street, heading east towards Jefferson. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.
11:21am: Rich Burkhardt reported sand and gravel on the roadway near Cedar and Head Streets. There was no road hazard located.
12:01pm: A caller advised they had received the “Grandparent Scam.” A caller posed as a grandchild needing money to get out of trouble in another state. They ended the call and did not give out any information.
1:39pm: A caller advised of a Speeding Vehicle heading north towards Jefferson on Hwy. 4. The officer performed a Traffic Stop with the vehicle and spoke to the driver about the complaint.
4:38pm: An officer was assisted by a deputy executing an Involuntary Committal court order in the 400 Block of East McKinley Street. A subject was taken to ER for evaluation, per the order.
7:35pm: A subject reported her father had given out his Social Security Number to a scam caller. The officer advised them to report the mistake to the Social Security Administration and to watch their finances.
7:41pm: Mary Norgart reported a Stray Dog running loose near Cedar and Washington Streets. The officer did not locate the reported animal.
7:45pm: Jessica Wolf reported receiving numerous Unwanted Phone Calls from a Hotel Chain. The officer advised her to contact the parent company during business hours and advised them to stop the calls.
9:11pm: An officer was requested at 206 East Washington Street for an altercation between two brothers. Deputies arrived and assisted the officer. A male was transported by GC Ambulance to ER for an evaluation by a medical doctor.
11:11pm: A deputy requested assistance form an officer in locating a vehicle which was reportedly being chased by another vehicle towards Jefferson. The vehicle was located, and the deputy handled the call.
