The latest figures on the novel coronavirus 2019 pandemic in the state have been released by the Iowa Department of Public Health, with four more positive tests announced in Dallas County Wednesday.
Those were part of 107 new cases in Iowa, a sizeable decrease from the nearly 500 positive occurrences revealed Tuesday. The total cases in Dallas County now sits at 59, though there have been no deaths in the County and 35 affected individuals have fully recovered. The statewide total is now 3,748, though there have been 24,496 negative tests, and 1,428 Iowans have recovered. However, the new cases announced Wednesday also came with seven newly reported deaths due to COVID-19 complications. Six of the casualties came from eastern Iowa, in counties including Black Hawk, Linn, Muscatine, and Tama, and there was one from Woodbury, in western Iowa.
