U.S. Congresswoman Cindy Axne

Iowa’s Third Congressional District Representative Cindy Axne was voted last year by Town Hall Project as the most accessible freshman member of Congress in the country, and she’s not letting the COVID-19 pandemic keep her from visiting with her constituents.

However, she’s still conforming with social distancing guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), so she’s recently been holding local virtual meetings throughout the District. One such meeting will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m., and her focus will be citizens of Adel. Axne will host a conference call with Adel residents, seeking feedback and perspective regarding the local economic impact of the coronavirus closures. Adel Partners Chamber of Commerce Director Deb Bengtson encourages small business owners especially to take part, so they can voice their thoughts on the economic stimulus through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. People who don’t live in the City can also take part in the meeting, but should know the conversation will center on Adel specifically.

The conference call will be held over the phone, with the number to call being 312-626-6799. Participants will need to enter the meeting number, 963-276-759-37#, with the password of 260841#.
