The Stuart City Council approved the latest pay estimate for work on the All Saints Addition Monday.
City Engineer Forrest Aldrich presented the amount of about $66,212 for the period of March 3rd to April 3rd, for Concrete Technologies, Inc. They then approved an electrical engineering agreement for DGR Engineering for the housing addition, as previously approved by the Utility Board, for an amount of $394,800. The Council also approved a local match resolution of about $7,061 to apply for a hazard mitigation grant of $47,070 from the Iowa Homeland Security and Emergency Management Division of the Federal Emergency Management Agency for two new storm sirens. They also approved an agreement with the City of Guthrie Center regarding DICA Manufacturing Company moving its headquarters to Stuart, which allows the City to use incremental property tax revenues to support the company’s development of the Stuart site.
