A vehicle was completely destroyed near Dexter by an early Friday morning fire.

Stuart Fire Chief Mike Renslow says crews responded at 3:21am to 8432 Ormal Drive. Renslow says the vehicle was a Ford F-150 and by the time crews extinguished the flames, it was a total loss. Renslow notes the vehicle was not running at the time of the fire and no one was in the vehicle. 

Renslow points out they could not determine a cause and no one was injured in the incident. He believes the fire to be accidental in nature. According to the Guthrie County Assessor’s webpage, the property is owned by Ronald Griffey.
