Area businesses that are self-employed may now qualify for financial assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Iowa Economic Development Authority has released a Targeted Small Business (TSB) fund for business owners who are self-employed or have zero employees. The program allows eligible businesses up to $10,000 grants to help get through the virus outbreak. To apply, businesses must submit a three-month income statement, March 2019 and March 2020 to date revenues, a balance sheet and a completed W-9 income tax form.

The IEDA will review each application and these will be processed in order of receipt and submission of all requirements. The deadline to submit an application is by April 10th. Click the link below for more information and for an online application.
