The City of Perry has indefinitely closed the McCreary Community Building in an attempt to curb the spread of COVID-19, but the public can still take part in a free exercise program.
“Fitness On Demand” is now active through the Parks and Recreation Department, and it’s open to all current McCreary Center members. The daily workout regimen is posted on the City’s website, and takes participants through some easy workouts they can do in the comfort of their own home. Those interested in the service can email Parks and Rec directly to sign up. If you aren’t yet a rec center member but are interested in “Fitness On Demand,” you can register for a membership online and then sign up for the program.
Perry Parks and Rec reminds the community that the center will remain closed at least through the end of March, and all programming is postponed until April 13th at the earliest. The dates are subject to change depending on the circumstances. For more information about the “Fitness On Demand” program, email mcb@perryia.org.
