What improvements would you want to see in the City of Stuart over the next 20 years?

If you know the answer, your feedback is needed for the City’s upcoming comprehensive plan. The Stuart City Council is working with Region XII Council of Governments to update its plan, which maps out the growth and development of the City. The current phase for the project is a public input survey. Stuart residents are asked to complete the online survey to help identify strengths and weaknesses in the community and share what services are most important to them.

Region XII Regional Planner Freddy Vasquez explains the importance of a comprehensive plan, “It plays a vital role in a community when a City like Stuart has a comprehensive plan, because in the next 5-10 years it will be a guiding principle for the community. So that’s why I think it’s one of the most important parts of the plan is that community input because each individual plays a role within the community.”

The anonymous survey takes about 10 minutes to complete, and a link can be found on the City of Stuart’s website. Vasquez plans to present the survey findings to the Council sometime this May or June, to then be incorporated into the plan to be adopted by late summer.
