Earlier this week, Governor Kim Reynolds approved a proclamation related to the COVID-19 pandemic, and a key part of it was banning restaurants from offering dine-in services.

Local eateries have had to adjust, but as Perry Chamber of Commerce Director Lynsi Pasutti points out, they’ve mostly stayed open but with crucial differences.“It’s a time to adapt during this disruption. So many of our restaurants are maintaining their regular hours, they might try to maintain their regular menus; some are shifting gears a little bit, condensing how they need to. But ultimately most everyone is available to continue to take orders for pickup and takeout, and then some are offering delivery.”

Pasutti adds, the Chamber and City have worked together to get cones and signage in front of each of the downtown restaurants, establishing a pickup area. She says the businesses have been appreciative of the assistance, and the customers have found it helpful.
