
The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors approved a disaster declaration regarding COVID-19 and decided to close county offices to the public until further notice Tuesday.
Adair and Guthrie County Emergency Management Coordinator Bob Kempf also gave the Board a draft for a continuity of operations plan, which the Board doesn’t have adopted. They also opened bids for grounds and roadside mowing for the Secondary Roads Department which will be brought back at a future meeting for official approval. A public hearing regarding the proposed vacation of Roost Lane was held followed by no action, and the Board discussed purchasing a diesel recycling truck priced at $76,944 from Karl Chevrolet in the next fiscal year. Facilities Manager Brandon Thompson would like to get a letter of intent with the dealership approved by the Board which Supervisor Mike Dickson suggested they approve after the final fiscal year 2021 budget is approved next week. Finally, the Board tabled approving signing the county financial statements and audit report for fiscal year 2018 and minutes for the January 23, 28, and 30 meetings.
