A Marne man was recently sentenced for committing sexual abuse against a minor under the age of 12 in Guthrie County.
Court documents show that 22-year-old Matthew David Ross pleaded guilty to one count of the class B felony while the second count of second degree sex abuse was dismissed. Ross was ordered to serve up to 25 years in prison with a required 50% minimum, which was suspended for him to serve five years probation. He’s also ordered to be under parole supervision for the rest of his life and register as a sex offender. He must pay a $100 sexual abuse victim surcharge, victim restitution, and up to $500 for category two restitution. The case stems from a January 31st, 2019 arrest after an investigation conducted by the Stuart Police Department.
