School districts across the state of Iowa, and across the country will likely see significant changes to their spring sports and activities calendars due to fears of the Coronavirus spreading, and Dallas Center-Grimes is no exception.

DC-G coaches and administration are fully aware and prepared to take necessary action to keep students and staff safe, and if limiting exposure and canceling sporting events is the answer, they aren’t afraid to do what’s necessary.

Mustang and Fillie Track and Field has already been challenged with a changing schedule, something that doesn’t often happen with indoor meets, however, last week the Little Hawkeye Conference Indoor Meet was cancelled due to Coronavirus complications.  Grinnell College was set to host the festivities, but the college announced the closure of the campus which put a wrench in the plans for an early season conference meet.
