The Perry Chamber of Commerce held a successful off-season farmers market recently, and this weekend they’ll be trying it again.
Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says they had a great response to the winter farmers market during last month’s Chocolate Walk, and they’re looking to build on that momentum with a few more in the coming months. “Vendors loved it, shoppers loved it, (and) they want more, so we were looking at dates that could work. And so Saturday, March 14th (from) 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at La Poste we’ll have another farmers market. So (we’re) looking to do kind of once a month leading up to the regular season. It just is dependent on vendors’ availability on what’s going to all be there, but we have a good group so it’s just going to be a continuation and (we) hope for another great turnout for that!”
Pasutti reminds the public that the regular farmers market will begin the last Thursday of May and will run through the end of September. It will be at Josh Davis Plaza and along 2nd Street from 4-7 p.m. each Thursday, with one special event each month.
