Greene County Activities Director Todd Gordon was asked by Raccoon Valley Radio if the new high school, set to open in August of this year, will have a trophy case. The short answer is “yes” and the A.D. told Raccoon Valley Radio the Greene County Activities Booster Club has helped to purchase a Touch-Pro touchscreen system that will go well beyond anything we’ve had here before. “It’s basically a digital display case. It’s not just a trophy case. It will also have the actual Hall of Fame ceremony that people can watch, and we’ll have other activities included as well, not just athletics.” Upon entering the building, a 70″ interactive screen will be between the gym and auditorium.
Yearbooks from 1950 to present day were digitally scanned by the Oklahoma Dept. of Corrections personnel. “We have those and we will send those back to the Touch-Pro people and they’ll put every team we’ve ever had for those years onto the Touch-Pro system and people can search for your own team or search for your own name.”
Gordon added the info will not only be on the 70-inch touchscreen, but the info can be accessed by computers, tablets, smart phones, anytime, anywhere. He said work on the backside is taking place now in terms of data entry, so things are ready by mid-August.
