Joel Rankin just finished another season at the helm of the Dallas Center-Grimes Boys’ Basketball team. My most accounts, a very successful season. DC-G went 17-7, when just a year ago, the Mustangs went 8-14.
DC-G’s shot selection was much improved and lead to higher field goal percentages. Additionally, the Mustangs shared the rock very well, putting together over 16 assists per game. Play making was spearheaded by Junior, Luke Rankin. Rankin was the floor general who got the ball to his teammates in positions where they could be successful. Rankin had a, nearly, 4:1 assist to turnover ratio for the year. Rankin was also the second leading scorer for the Mustangs, as he averaged nearly 14 points per game.
Head Coach, Joel Rankin, will join Raccoon Valley Radio on Monday to discuss and recap the 2019-2020 campaign and talk about the future of the program. You can hear the interview between 6:00-7:00pm on Monday night during the Dallas County PM Sports Page.
