Friday, February 28th

11:34am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 100 Block of North Olive Street.

1:25pm: A Traffic Stop at Elm and Russell Streets resulted in Elizabeth Orfield of Grand Junction being cited for, “Operation without Registration.”

3:05pm: Regency Park reported a Stray Dog at 101 Ram Drive. The owner arrived with the officer and took custody of his dog.

5:22pm: Rio Prescott spoke with an officer at the LEC about driver’s licensing questions.

5:29pm: Larry Saddoris reported the strong smell of marijuana at his rental apartment building at 102 South Grimmell Road. The officer is investigating.

5:44pm: Scott Brown requested an officer at Harrison and Cedar for a Civil Child Custody Issue.

9:11pm: Brandi Hicks reported a possible No Contact Order Violation, which occurred at 307 East Gallop Road. The officer learned the order had not been served yet, therefore no violation had occurred.

9:30pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 700 Block of Wild Rose Lane.

10:29pm: Officers went to 607 West Monroe Street to check on a wanted male subject. The male answered the door and officers immediately smelled burnt marijuana coming from inside the residence. Joshua Jeffery Michael Geigle, 28 of Jefferson was arrested an outstanding Jefferson Police Department for, “Providing Alcohol to Underage Persons – Aggravated.” The owner of the residence gave consent for the officers to search the residence, due to the marijuana smell. Officers located and seized items consistent to personal use marijuana for testing. Future charges against Geigle are pending lab results.

11:31pm: Michael Coffman reported lights were on at the Jefferson Golf Course. The officer did not locate anything suspicious at the facility.

Saturday, February 29th

12:22am: A Traffic Stop at Grimmell Road and South Street resulted in Jenna Beyers of Churdan being cited for, Fail to Obey Stop Sign. Officers located unopened containers of alcohol in the vehicle and Beyers is 19 years old. She had just gotten off work and picked some friends up and drove them home. She advised they must have left the alcohol in her vehicle. The officers seized and destroyed the alcohol.

9:53am: Joyce Morris reported a possible sick raccoon in her yard at 1001 East Russell Street. The raccoon did not appear to be sick and ran off as the officer approached it.

2:30pm: A Traffic Stop in the 1000 Block of North Cedar Street resulted in Braxton Holderby of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

3:44pm: A Traffic Stop in the 900 Block of East Lincoln Way Street resulted Slater Kirk of Grand Junction being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

4:10pm: A caller advised of a Suspicious Female and Vehicle parked at Maple and Adams Street. The officer spoke to the female, who advised she was just sitting and reading.

12:55am: A male reported a vehicle, which was all over the road and nearly struck a sign near Elm and Madison Streets. The officers later located the reported vehicle at 400 South High Street. The officers spoke to an intoxicated female, who denied driving in the last hour and advised she began drinking when she arrived at her residence.

Sunday, March 1st

12:49am: A Traffic Stop at 220th and M Ave. resulted in Yoan Range Martinez of Fla. Being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

1:20am: The Cobblestone Hotel requested an officer at 701 Wild Rose Lane for a problem between two guests. The officers worked to diffuse the Civil Issue between the two guests.

7:40am: An officer issued a Parking Violation Notice in the 600 Block of North Maple Street for, “Parked Across Sidewalk.”

3:34pm: Kelsey Reed reported underage subjects smoking cigarettes at the Greene County Elementary School, located at 401 East Russell Street. The officers did not locate anyone in the area.

7:57pm: Jan Black reported a garden tiller had been running for several hours at the empty lot at 709 West Lincoln Way Street with no one around. The tiller was shut off.

10:11pm: Dorene Tuhn reported a Suspicious Vehicle at 807 West South Street. The officers did not locate the reported vehicle in the area.

10:24pm: Officers assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 300 Block of North Olive Street.

******* An officer has requested Arrest Warrants for Christopher Brian Long, 27 of Jefferson for, “Possession of Controlled Substance/marijuana 1st Offense – Serious and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Simple.” The charges stem from a Traffic Stop on 02/24/2020 where items were seized from the vehicle for testing.
