The Greene County High School boys’ basketball team graduates four seniors from the recently completed 5-17 season. Carter Morton, Nick Breon, Cael Fisher, and Caden Lowmiller, were the seniors on the team.
Head coach Chris Nelson talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about the seniors. “Carter was excellent all year. The kid plays so hard that sometimes you just have to kind of pull him back a little bit because he wants to go at a high pace all the time, and that’s great to have as a coach because it’s easier to try to slow a kid down rather than speed him up. He did a lot of good things for us and we’ll definitely miss that high energy, high effort type guy.”
On Breon, Lowmiller, and Fisher, the coach said, “Caden and Cael were freshmen when I started coaching here, and Nick moved from Boone at the end of his freshman year. Those guys love to compete and they’ve transformed a lot physically and mentally have gotten a lot better. They did a lot of nice things for us. We wish them a lot of luck and hate to send them out the way we did, with the first round tournament loss at Glenwood.”
A number of players with one, two, and even three years of eligibility left, are on the roster.
