A pair of unrelated multi-vehicle wrecks in quick succession Friday morning slowed eastbound traffic to one lane on Highway 141 east of Bouton for more than an hour.

According to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, the first incident happened at around 5:23 a.m. in the 14500 block of the highway between O Avenue and Odessa Place. A car and semi collided, which resulted in one person being transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries. Ten minutes later just down the road from the first accident, a second wreck took place involving a car and minivan. The second collision happened in the 14000 block of Highway 141, and there were no injuries reported.

Traffic on the highway was flowing normally by 7 a.m. Sheriff’s deputies were assisted at the scene by the Bouton Fire Department and First Responders and Dallas County Emergency Medical Services. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
