The names of the two minors involved in a fatal head on collision in Adair County last week have been released.

As previously reported, the two-vehicle wreck occurred on 260th Street east of Winding Avenue at about 3:39 p.m. February 21st. Both vehicles collided in the center of the gravel roadway at the crest of the hill. Iowa State Patrol confirms the driver and passenger of the eastbound Ford Escort were 16-year-old Colton Eivins and 15-year-old Drew Nelson, both of Winterset. Both were pronounced dead on scene. The driver of the second vehicle 26-year-old Marriah Love of Orient suffered minor injuries and her passenger, three-year-old Kynslee Love of Orient, was transported by Life Flight to Blank Children’s Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
