After pulling off an impressive win at ADM over the weekend, the Dallas Center-Grimes Girls’ Basketball team will ride the bus two hours to the west to face Council Bluffs Lewis Central in tonight’s Substate Final.

DC-G trailed by 1 at the half after hitting a buzzer beater that sent both teams into the locker rooms at 28-27; advantage ADM.

But, the third quarter belonged to DC-G, and only DC-G.  The Fillies outpaced ADM in the third frame 17-3, and the 13 point deficit heading into the final 8 minutes was simply too large for the Tigers to overcome.

DC-G took the win, 67-55, which propelled the Fillies to tonight’s Substate Final match-up at Lewis Central.

The Fillies, 17-6, will face the Lady Titans of Lewis Central in Council Bluffs, who come in at 18-5 on the year.  LC is lead by Megan Witte, as she averages over 16 points per game, and shoots nearly 52% from the field.
