A Stuart man who is accused of discharging a firearm against law enforcement officers has pled guilty to federal charges.
Sources say Randall Comly has pled guilty to federal charges for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession, brandishing and discharging a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime and felon in possession of a firearm. Comly was federally charged by the U.S. and Adair County attorney’s offices this past December for an alleged incident in October. Comly could face up to life in prison. His state charge of attempted murder was dismissed to allow for federal charges to proceed.
On October 17th, Comly shot at several law enforcement officers who were trying to serve an arrest warrant on him in the 600 block of Southwest 7th Street in Stuart, injuring some of the officers. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
