Jefferson voters can still cast their ballot ahead of the special city council election date.
The special election to fill a vacancy on the council is Tuesday, March 3rd. There are two names on the ballot including Sean Sebourn and Pat Zmolek. Early voting continues at the Greene County Auditor’s Office during normal business hours of Monday through Friday from 8am-4:30pm, and until 5pm on Monday, March 2nd. The time frame has passed for requesting an absentee ballot through the mail.
The election is to fill a two-year term that is remaining on the council. The seat became vacant once former Council member Matt Gordon became the new mayor.
