Win number 16 of the season for the Dallas Center-Grimes Girls’ Basketball team came on Wednesday night in Grimes, with a commanding 51-30 victory over Winterset.

DC-G trailed by 1 after the first frame, but the Fillies locked down the Huskies on the defensive end, and allowed just 10 points in the first 16 minutes to Winterset.  DC-G took a 10 point lead into the halftime intermission, and continued to build their lead after the third quarter of play.  The DC-G lead blossomed to 16 points with the final 8:00 on the clock.

Adam Jones and company will look forward to a re-match with ADM this coming Saturday.  The Fillies and Tigers met up once this season in Grimes.  The final score favored ADM by 4, 67-63.  So, to say that Saturday night’s contest between ADM and DC-G is “anyone’s game” is the understatement of the century.

DC-G will head to Adel with a 16-6 record on the season.  The ADM Girls’ are 15-5 heading into Saturday’s match-up.
