A trio of AC/GC wrestlers will be competing for a state championship in Des Moines.

Juniors Seth Danker, Gunnar Larsen, and Cale Rowley earned a spot in the big dance with strong outings last weekend in Underwood. Danker will be wrestling in the 126 pound weight class. This will be his second trip to state. Danker qualified as a freshman and missed out last season as his sophomore campaign was plagued with injuries.

In the weight class above him, Larsen will be looking to build on his debut from last year. Larsen is 35-6 entering Thursday’s action. He went 1-2 at state last year.

Rowley is 30-16 after grinding his way to Des Moines. This will be the first appearance at the big dance for Rowley. Class 1A will get underway at p.m. You can listen to wall to wall coverage of the state tournament across the Raccoon Valley Radio network.
