The West Central Valley Wildcats girls basketball team had their season conclude on Saturday with a tough loss against ACGC losing by the score of 57-43. The Wildcats got out to a slow start to begin the night and were unable to get back into the game to conclude their season at a 12-10 record.
WCV was really great all season long, as their 12-10 record was the first winning season that the Wildcats have had in a decade. They also had a 7 win jump from the previous season to this season, as the Wildcats improvement was one of the best in class 2A girls. The Wildcats will be losing three seniors in Sydney Neal, Jenna Merical, and Michaela Jaeger, all who had a substantial impact on the season and did a ton for the program.
The Wildcats will be returning some key rotation players, including leading scorer Madelyn Jaeger and Isabella Munoz, as they will return their backcourt for next year. The Wildcats will have some things to address in the offseason, but it was a great year for West Central Valley, and will see what they can build from it in the near future.
