Friday, February 14th

8:13am: An officer located a stalled vehicle near 250th Street and South Elm Street

12:31pm: Roger Nichols located a stray dog in the 400 block of West Sunset

12:52pm: An officer conducted a traffic stop near Highway 30 and J Avenue after receiving a driving complaint for excessive speeding. Malachi Meri was warned for excessive speeding and unsafe passing

1:12pm: An officer responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of East Monroe Street and South Locust Street. Cassie Fowler was driving her 2013 Chrysler Town and Country northbound on South Locust Street when her vehicle was struck by a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica operated by Sherry Graven who was traveling eastbound on East Monroe Street. Fowler’s vehicle sustained approx.. $5000 in damage to the front passenger corner while Graven’s vehicle sustained approx.. $2000 in damage to the front passenger corner. Ms. Graven was cited for Failure to Yield to the Vehicle on the Right

2:07pm: An officer was called to Oly’s Corner to investigate a possible theft.

2:51pm: An officer was notified of a possible location of a male with Active Arrest Warrants. Officers were unable to locate the individual

3:04pm: An officer responded to a two-vehicle accident on 220th Street and Wild Rose Lane. William Peters was traveling westbound on 220th Street in a 2011 Toyota Rav 4. Darrell Stark was traveling eastbound on 220th Street in a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado. As the drivers passed each other, a metal lid on a toolbox in Mr. Stark’s vehicle blew off, striking Mr. Peters’s vehicle causing approx.. $2000 in damage to the driver’s side. Damage to the toolbox was estimated to be $200.

3:06pm: An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of West Lincoln Way. Michael Thompson was cited for Operating a Non Registered Vehicle

7:52pm: An officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of North Elm Street and West Clark Street with a Christopher Long. During the stop, a Probable Cause Search was conducted and suspected drug paraphernalia was located. Charges pending lab test results

9:11pm: An officer responded to 1805 North Elm Street for a motion sensor alarm. Everything was found to be okay

9:29pm: An anonymous female notified officers of a suspicious vehicle with the rear hatch left open in the Super 8 Motel parking lot. Officers spoke with the owner of the vehicle

9:39pm: An officer was notified of a stranded pedestrian at Casey’s General Store. Anofficer spoke with the individual who advised they had a ride coming

10:37pm: An officer conducted a traffic stop at 207 West Gallup Road. The officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage while speaking with the driver and, after concluding the investigation, placed Kent Allen Poage under arrest for Operating while Intoxicated – 1st Offense. Mr. Poage was also cited for Unsafe Entry onto a Roadway.

Saturday, February 15th

9:38am: An officer responded to 204 West Harrison Street for a 911 hang-up call. The officer found everything to be okay and the number was dialed by mistake

6:09pm: A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 block of East McKinley Street. During the stop, officers located several drug related items. The items were seized for testing and the driver, Julie Wells, was cited for Driving while License Suspended

9:10pm: Tom Ganoe requested a welfare check on his wife in the 500 block of South Cedar Street. Officers spoke with the female and determined no assistance was needed

10:44pm: Officers assisted the Greene County Ambulance Service with a medical call in the 1000 block of West Washington Street

Sunday, February 16th

1:52am: Rick Green requested a welfare check on a female in the 500 block of South Cedar Street after observing disturbing messages on a social media site from the female. Officers arrived and transported the female to the Greene County Medical Center

7:00am: Eric Grevson received a parking citation for Parking Across a Sidewalk in the 200 block of South Walnut Street

9:08am: An officer assisted the Greene County Ambulance Service with a medical call in the 100 block of Lincoln Place

1:23pm: Officers assisted a stranded motorist in the 100 block of North Locust Street

5:09pm: Officers conducted a welfare check on a female in the 200 block of North Locust Street after observing the female acting strangely.

6:03pm: Cindy Rowland requested an officer’s assistance with her child in the 900 block of North Pinet Street. An officer arrived and spoke with the child

10:03pm: As a result of a traffic stop, Alysha Nicole Steece was cited for Driving while Suspended

11:21pm: An officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 220th and Orchard Avenue. During the stop, the driver was found to have an outstanding Arrest Warrant through Dallas County for Failure to Appear. Dallas County would not extradite and the driver was allowed to leave

11:26pm: An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of U.S. Highway 30. Jennifer Owens was cited Driving while Suspended and Excessive Speed – 16-20 Over

Monday, February 17th

12:05pm: Thomas Oyres requested an officer at ER, where he was a patient. He advised the officer that he had been assaulted and held against his will by subjects at 104 East Clark Street since 02/14/2020. The officer is investigating the report.

1:32pm: Dollar General requested an officer at 104 North Locust Street after uncovering a Theft from an employee. The business learned that a female employee had pretended to scan items for a customer, but had purposely not scanned the items, therefore not charging the customer. The total loss was $35.00. The officer and the business are working to check on past shifts to see if this had occurred at other times.

4:37pm: Lisa Schroeder reported a male in a white truck conducting Door to Door Sales in the 1000 Block of Westwood Drive. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.

5:15pm: An officer was requested at the Courthouse to assist the JCO in gathering a Urine Analysis Collection Kit from a juvenile.

9:09pm: A caller advised of a box truck with the rear door open in the 100 Block of South Wilson Ave. The officer secured the vehicle and attempted to contact the registered owner but had no success.
